Pajama Day Crafting Queens

Today Mei-Li and I decided to have a Pajama Day. Well, that isn't exactly true; we just never bothered to get dressed and were pretty happy about the way things turned out. The only thing we used our energy for was crafting.

Ever since ML did some wool crafts at after school care, she has been yarn crazy.  We've got Dorothy Jean set up for knitting lessons later in the season, and I remembered my old Knit Magic (tm) machine from when I was just a bit older than Mei-Li.  Of course I kept it!  I dug it out, and the whole process was just like riding a bike (after I read the instructions I had so thoughtfully left in the box).

After my apprentice learned and practiced with the machine, she decided that Bear-Bear was due a winter outfit.

Mei-Li slaves while Bear-Bear shivers.

Cozy Bear-Bear is ready for rough weather.

Mei-Li and I also made a multi-coloured mouse, because we are Crafting Queens!

ML's mouse just needs whiskers.

Later on we were Yarn Clean-up Queens.  Ah, the price we pay for creativity!

  1. So cool. Can't believe how much she got done for Bear Bear in one day. Pretty sure thats a rat she's holding ;)

  2. Oh man - I need one of those machines! Sure beats the holey patches of wool we knitted and purled together in the hopes of maybe making a blanket!

  4. Hooray! Knitting is awesome! Bear-Bear knows he is loved when he gets hand-knitted things.
