The day the fair came to town

I took Mei-Li and Lili to the fair on the weekend. The girls got a day-pass bracelet and went on every ride at least twice. It was hot and I was tired, but they were like little Energizer bunnies: they kept going and going and going!

They went on the scariest ride first. It was the closest.

Maybe not such a good idea? 

Yeah, I didn't know quite what it did,

and neither did they!

Ah, the good ol' Tilt-a-whirl!

Buckle up!

Flying through the air with the greatest of ease

The maidens captured a dragon.

He gave them a bit of a fight, though.

Time for a bit of a rest.

The merry-go-round was gentle.

And the music was gentle.

This ride was definitely not so gentle!

And the music was definitely not so gentle, either!

Whatever this was seemed fun.

Yeah, it was fun all right!

All the excitement threatened to catch up with Mei-Li, 

so she rested quietly in the shade while Lili enjoyed some cotton candy.

And she's ready to go again!

Good times in the haunted house

Everyone loves a good slide.*

And to top it all off, they had a strawberry ride.

Near the end, the girls got their faces painted. I'll try to get a picture to post. :)

*Yes, I know I need to stop taking "portrait" videos. It's annoying me too!
